About M Group Services Plant and Fleet and your team
With 8 depots across the UK, M Group Services Plant & Fleet Solutions provide innovative plant and fleet asset management solutions across M Group Services. We provide our business with more than 9,000 vehicles and over 25,000 owned or externally hired plant assets.
Our team has grown rapidly and we are responsible for the supply and management of specialist equipment and vehicles, supplying the Water, Energy, Transport, Data and Telecommunication sectors.
The Account Manager is responsible for developing strong relationships with our customers. To ensure that we provide a ‘best in class’ service across all plant and fleet solutions to support the businesses that form M Group Services.

You will be responsible for a number of revenue, profit and safety targets across a range of group companies, contracts, alliances, joint ventures and partnerships. Whilst continually developing further revenue opportunities and ensuring that we deliver exceptional customer experience levels.

As the Account Manager, you’ll get the opportunity to:
- Build strong customer relationships across all businesses within the water/energy division
- Strive to provide exceptional customer experience/service
- Work with the customer to understand work load cycles and key milestones within the contracts.
- Explore further opportunities within water/energy contracts to hire internal PFS equipment to increase revenue and utilisation.
- Support the businesses with commercial information on tenders and contract bids
- Performance manage & review KPIs and other account metrics
- Communicate with our team and the customer’s teams at multiply levels across various stakeholders.
- Strategic planning of future capex investment across Plant & Fleet for water/energy divisions.
- Plan and manage mobilisations and integrations as required.
What you’ll bring?
- Ideally with a strong background working in the water/energy utilities sector.
- Previous account management experience
- Track record managing multiple stake holders and projects
- Customer centric
- Team player with good time management & communication skills
- Experience of commercial development and marketing/sales would be an advantage
- Able to build strong and sustainable customer relationship
- Recognises and capitalises on new opportunities/innovative approaches
- Good knowledge of MS Office including a high level of Excel and preferably Hire Management software
