Account Manager/ Farmer
For this role we are looking for a newly appointed account manager or a business development/sales executive/manager who is looking to make their transition into account management, ideally this candidate will still have a hunter mentality. The Account Manager will be responsible for overseeing Member Services for research products, data insights, and consulting services to existing clients and there will be a big focus on growing newly founded subscribers into larger accounts along with converting some regular buyers into subscribers. In this role, you will work with C-level executives (business and technology leaders) in the Edtech,
Audio and Music, Personal Electronics, home entertainment industries.
You will engage in a consultative sales approach, meeting with C-suite executives to understand their highest priority initiatives for renewals and account penetration. You will clearly articulate how FSC can deliver deeper market, technology, and business insights in support of their decision-making processes.
The Futuresource offices are based in St Albans, however considering all candidates located anywhere within the UK. Hybrid/remote working would suit the ideal candidate.
Job Responsibilities Overview
- Developing sales and growth strategies for your accounts with focus on renewing and up-selling FSC services
- Targeting senior management (Director, VP, C-level) in R&D; Business Development;
Corporate Venturing; and/or Strategy and M&A; Professors, Esteemed Faculty,Licensing Directors
- Maintaining and developing relationships with clients
- Increasing YOY renewal growth through upsell, cross sell and account penetration by
20%
- Proven ability to achieve monthly/quarterly & annual sales targets using a consultative sales approach
- Processing all sales information in Salesforce to business standards and requirements
- Creating sales forecasts and actively working towards reaching them
- Possessing a strong understanding of the company’s products, the competition in the industry and positioning
- Collaborating with research and marketing teams
- International travel to meet with clients and industry partners when required including attending industry trade shows and staying up to date with new trends
- Assisting with Futuresource events as required
- Proficient understanding of market research industry, research methodology, client’s business, and products & services suitable to meet the client’s needs
Additional Responsibilities
- Onboarding customers and ongoing customer service, including arranging client debriefs on all closed sales
- Recognising when accounts may require escalation for a bespoke engagement with a senior member of staff
- Selling Sponsorship for Futuresource events as required
Required Experience and Qualifications
- 2 -4 years of experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent sales experience
- Excellent customer management skills
- Demonstrative account management and strong sales ability. Typical ‘Hunter’ and
‘Farmer’ mentality required
- Must demonstrate strong interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills
- Experience of Microsoft office, Salesforce and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
- Ideally you will have an interest in technology

- Able to handle multiple priorities while meeting objectives

Package
- Starting salary from £40,000 with a potential OTE of £80 -£100k
- uncapped commissions
