Job description

Since 2004, BOND Events have been organising highly focused B2B Events for the world's largest and busiest Architecture and Interior Design firms. The events take place in luxury resorts around the globe and centre on one-to-one meetings between architects (buyers) and vendors (suppliers).

A diligent and eager Account Manager is needed to join the Supplier Sales team of this growing Events company as we prepare to expand further.

This is a hybrid Sales and Account Manager role where you will be contacting existing customers as well as interested prospects. The majority of your time will be spent engaging our community of building product manufactures across the globe with the goal of signing them up to our architecture events.

The objective of this role is to achieve Sales growth by:

  • Developing a thorough understanding of our products and service offerings to better upsell and cross-sell to existing clients
  • Building and strengthening client relationships to achieve long-term sales
  • Re-engaging old customers who aren’t currently using our services
  • Staying on top of accounts, delivering exceptional customer service, making sure they’re well-informed and addressing their needs
  • Responding to new enquiries from interested prospects and converting into sales

Your performance will be measured in terms of sales revenue generated on your allocated events. You’ll work closely with and report to the Executive Vice President who is based in Southwest London.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience of working in a telephone sales environment. 90% of time will be spent on the phone talking to customers and prospects
  • English first language. Spanish advantageous.
  • Proven ability to present a compelling, professional sales pitch via telephone and close deals
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets
  • Resilient and ambitious to succeed
  • Excellent time management to ensure deadlines are met
  • Great interpersonal skills to build relationships with prospects and clients
  • A fast learner with the ability to follow a sales process with good attention to detail
  • Experience using CRM software/databases
  • A flexible, team player who is happy to assist in other aspects of the business where needed
  • A confident and calm personality, able to stay focussed under the pressures of a busy events company

The company currently works on a fully remote basis, however may return to a Central London office one day per week or one day every other week. You will be required to come to our offices for a full week of initial training and for additional meetings as required.

Overseas travel to attend our events (in luxury resorts around the globe) is required in the role.

You would primarily be working on the European and Middle Eastern markets with working hours 9am - 5pm UK time. However, we are an international company with a heavy presence in the US, so some flexibility is required if you have clients in different time zones.
