Job description

Crowe Watson Recruitment, on behalf of a prestigious firm of Chartered Accountants in Nottingham, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Senior. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Preparing annual financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries.
  • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and legislation.
  • Managing and mentoring a team of accountants and assistants.
  • Providing financial management advice to clients.
  • Collaborating with external auditors to execute statutory audits of company accounts.
  • Actively participating in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new and existing clients.

The successful applicant must fulfil the following requirements:

  • ACCA/ACA qualified or equivalent.
  • Must have previous experience working within a UK Practice environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with all levels of the business and external stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS.
  • Proven ability to manage and lead a team.
  • Sound IT skills, including proficiency with accountancy software and MS Office.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional and client service excellence.
