Cherry Professional are currently working on a unique opportunity for an Accountant to join our Derby based client.
This role is very varied and working with multiple different types of companies. The company offers a lot of progression and first-class training if required.
Role: Accountant
Location: Derby DE24
Salary Package: £26,000 – £34,000 + Study Support
The job responsibilities include:
- Assist with the preparation and finalization of year-end accounts for a range of clients, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
- Conduct regular bookkeeping tasks, including managing sales and purchase ledgers, reconciling bank statements, and processing invoices.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and deadlines.
- Provide support in the preparation of management accounts, cash flow forecasts, and budgets.
- Liaise with clients, offering professional advice, guidance, and assistance on accounting and taxation matters.
- Collaborate with the wider team to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
- Keep abreast of changes in accounting regulations and guidelines to ensure compliance and offer proactive recommendations.
Requirements:
- Candidates who have gained experience working within the accountancy profession and have a minimum of 2 years within an accounts practice
- Qualified AAT, ACCA or ACA.
- Individuals qualified by experience are also welcome to apply.
