Position Overview:
We are currently recruiting for an Account Administrator to join the Global Sales Support Team, based at South Shields, on a full-time basis. This role will be key to providing administration support to the Global Sales Support Key Accounts Team who’s goal it is to manage customer order books and ensure on time delivery of their orders.You will also provide world class customer service in line with business objectives and the Barbour values.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process sales orders, take telephone orders and enquiries and reply to correspondence within specified time limits (KPI’s)
- Provide customer order book reports
- Coordinate deliveries to customers via our warehouses
- Order cancellations are kept up to date and details recorded.
- Process forward orders within the ordering timetable &
- Complete order line re-dates and rephasing of orders depending on delivery dates
- Control the return of goods by issuing a returns number up to the agreed limit.
- Develop positive relationships and contribute to a positive environment
- Develop commercial awareness of our product ranges, customer base & global markets
- Plan workload in accordance with department priorities, complete tasks within the required timescale
- Provide direct sales support to Sales Management as required.
- To assist with general administration activities as designated by the Key Accounts team & Department Managers
Skills and Experience:
- Good standard of education (Grades B/C)
- Excellent communication skills to build strong relationships both internally and externally
- Pro-active planning / time management skills to enable effective prioritisation of workload
- Able to make appropriate decisions using own initiative
- Ability to contribute to a harmonious team environment
- Enthusiastic, positive persona with an approachable manner
- Confident to express views within team activities
- Demonstrate willingness to listen
- Ability to work under pressure, within closely managed deadlines
- Able to quickly identify solutions to overcome difficulties
- Effective Administration skills including Microsoft packages
- Flexible attitude and approach to workload in the department
- Willing and able to participate in training and development deemed necessary for the role
