Birmingham City Council is seeking three enthusiastic people to join our busy Accommodation Finding Service. If you are proactive, customer focussed, and have excellent organisational skills, than this might be just the job for you!
This role requires the post holder to support the day-to-day operation of the new Accommodation Finding Service.
We are looking for someone who is able to deliver outstanding customer service to a wide range of stakeholders and respond to sensitive issues effectively. You will need to use your own initiative to resolve issues, and to be able to work under pressure in a demanding environment.
Ideally, we are looking for people who:
- Have experience of working in a customer focused environment including front line customer service experience
- Have strong communication (written & verbal) skills
- Have good planning, organising & IT skills
- Are accurate and attentive to detail
- Are empathetic and able to deal with customers in a sensitive and appropriate manner in a demanding environment
- Are able to manage the organisation of meetings, briefings and events, including the circulation of service information, reports, meeting agendas and notes.
- Improve customer engagement and support customers to deliver more successful homeless prevention outcomes.
- Maintain knowledge of relevant Private Rented Sector, Homelessness and Housing legislation, case law and guidance as well as local and national policies in order to provide expert advice and guidance to staff, colleagues, council members, citizens and other external stakeholders.
