About the role:
We are looking for an Accommodation Sourcing Consultant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will act as the primary customer contact for our incoming group accommodation/ housing requests and this role is to work on an array of clients in a variety of industry sectors. As an Accommodation Sourcing Consultant, you will:
- Source accomodation reservations in line with clients requirements, offering a quality service that consistently exceeds client’s expectations.
- To ensure relevant customer service levels are understood and consistently met or exceeded and to be suitably conversant in all relevant systems, and processes in line with customer requirements.
- To be fully conversant with the BCD Venue Search booking platform and work in accordance with the Venue Search Standard Operating Procedure.
- Consistently apply and demonstrate venue accommodation and destination knowledge to all customers.
- Continually develop excellent venue knowledge through building positive relationships with key supplier contacts, attending familiarisation visits, destination workshops and webinars.
You’re good at:
- Excellent communication skills along with a calm, positive and collaborative approach.
- Comfortable dealing with people at all levels both face to face and by telephone / email.
- MS Office skills including Excel, you will also have experience of entering and extracting data from databases.
- Flexible and proactive approach to work, able to juggle multiple priorities and projects with resilience under pressure with an ability and willingness, along with the ability to adapt to change.
- Proven Customer Service Experience.
You might also have:
- Knowledge of accommodation venues in the UK/overseas.
- Venue booking system experience.
- Previous hotel group reservations knowledge and experience.
- Proven negotiating and contracting experience with external suppliers.

You should know:
- Hybrid role with 2-3 days required per week in our Derby office.
- Our standard working hours are 9:00am -5:30pm with an hour break.
- You may be required to go on site on occasion in the UK or overseas.
- You must have the right to live and work in the UK.
