Our highly skilled and creative workforce is comprised of individuals drawn from a broad cross section of the globe, who reflect a variety of backgrounds, talents, perspectives and experiences that help to build our global learning community.
We are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join the Academic Quality team. We are seeking to recruit two Academic Quality Managers as we have recently expanded our leadership team to include a new, additional manager role. Both positions will have a key leadership role in the next phase of the team’s development, working closely with the Head of Academic Quality. This integrated team, which is based within Academic Services, is responsible for the delivery of high-quality support to Faculties and academic partners to ensure the effective implementation of the University’s quality assurance and enhancement framework. The Academic Quality Manager is a member of the Academic Services’ senior management team, and contributes to the strategic development of the service.
You will have a lead role in the ongoing development of academic regulations, policies and procedures to enhance effectiveness and efficiency and support delivery of user-focused, integrated services. You will have experience of reviewing and developing institution-wide quality frameworks and processes, and of implementing continuous process improvement.
You will be an experienced manager with a professional background related to HE academic quality. You will have experience of managing and developing complex teams through periods of change and of successfully embedding new processes and ways of working. Excellent interpersonal, influencing and communication skills are essential as well as the ability to develop and maintain relationships with Faculty stakeholders at all levels and a wide range of UK and international partners.
The successful candidate will have the ability to lead and manage a team, and proven experience in team workload planning and objective setting in an environment in which flexibility and adaptability are essential.
