Job description
You will be working as part of team to delivery excellent IT support to both office and home based employees.
Overall purpose;
- To execute IT strategy as defined by IT Director to achieve company objective
- To ensure the business is resilient, secure and up to date
Key responsibilities:
- Achieve individual, team and Company Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
Execution of IT infrastructure strategy
- The design, implementation of and management of IT infrastructure, including (but not limited to) laptops, desktops, thin client devices, routers and switches, firewalls, servers and cloud technologies
- Ensure that business infrastructure is up to date, documented and regularly reviewed to establish if it is the best solution
- Where applicable, provide justification for decisions made and ensure that they are in line with company requirements
Provide support to the business, including IT staff and end-users
- Ensure that the IT department maintains a positive image within the business and ensure that staff feel confident in the service being provided
- Support the IT Director by thoroughly researching and advising on any key changes, as well as providing support in making decisions on how to drive the business forward
- To ensure all company values are upheld by IT staff
- Liaise with third-party suppliers
- To proactively monitor IT infrastructure and address any potential issues to avoid downtime
- Define and uphold working standards with the IT department
- Ensure the defined budget is adhered to and reduce stock expenditure where appropriate
- Proactively encourage team cohesiveness, knowledge sharing and natural growth
- Management of company assets and configuration
- Ensure strong security protocols are adhered to within the business
- Implement IT training on systems as required
- Carry out any other duties, within reason, as defined by the IT Director
