Smart Display are a well-established and respected exhibition contractor and design agency based in West Yorkshire. A rapidly growing company specialising in the design, manufacture and installation of exhibition stands for clients at events across the UK, Europe and the Middle East. An ambitious team with a strong work ethic, a passion for creative ideas and delivering great events for our clients. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, we are energised and determined to reinstate our growth plans and now seek a new designer to join our Brighouse based team.
The Role
Expanding our studio to cope with the renewed demand for events and exhibitions we’re looking to recruit a full-time 3D & 2D exhibition designer.
The Ideal Candidate
The role will involve producing 3d design concepts through to completion including production drawings and print ready artwork for our exhibition stands. We are looking for someone with creative ideas who is equally at home with the practical detailing required to bring our environments to life. You should be organised and diligent with a good attention to detail and be comfortable working with immovable deadlines. We ideally want a candidate who can bring their own creative style to the company and therefore we would love to speak with candidates who can demonstrate a real passion for design.
Skills Required
1-2 years’ experience in a commercially driven 3D and 2D design role, however graduates from relevant degree level courses will also be considered.
Degree level education in design
Have some experience of 3D design, if graphics only this isn’t for you .
Experience of Vectorworks would be desirable however any of the major CAD packages will be considered such as AutoCAD, 3Dmax, Cinema4D, Solid Works etc.
Proficient with Adobe suite particularly Illustrator/InDesign producing work for print.
Understanding of orthographic technical drawing.
Hunger to learn and adapt to new challenges in a fast paced constantly evolving environment.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.

Exhibition Designers, Interior Designers (Commercial), Visual Merchandisers, Retail Designers, Kitchen Designers, Product Designers - Your work must have a practical application .
What we’re not looking for
Solely Graphic Design, UI/UX designers, Games Designers, Audio Visual Creatives etc.
