Heavy Civil - Project Development Coordinator – London (Graduate)

We are currently recruiting a university Graduate, with an initial assignment within our Project Development Team, supporting our customers in developing projects from feasibility through FEED and preparing for project execution. The Project Development Team sits within our Heavy Civil business line and is a key part of Bechtel’s global infrastructure business unit, focusing on the development and delivery of motorways, hydro and pumped hydro storage power projects, and civil / marine works in support of projects undertaken by Bechtel’s other global business units. This business line is based in London but executes projects around the world including UK, Australia, North America and the Balkans.

Position Summary:
We are seeking Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Systems Engineering graduates to carry out a range of duties within their specialism.
Typical Responsibilities:
Assisting in coordination and production of designs, studies, reports, and proposals- Checking suppliers’ drawings and data for compliance with specifications
- Ensuring technical submissions comply with the accepted format and design requirements
- Providing technical engineering and construction input on designs, documentation and provide appropriate responses
- Assisting in detailed development of established design and construction concepts for systems, structures, and equipment
- Coordinating assigned work with other technical personnel as directed
- Assisting in development and verification of project control documents and status reports
Skills and Qualifications:
Successful candidates should be on track for or have achieved a 2:1 or higher master’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Systems Engineering or related degree and be legally allowed to work in the UK- Work experience relevant to the area you are applying to and extra-curricular activities will help your application
- You will have an opportunity to develop Chartership status working on iconic projects amongst experienced specialists in the field
