We are looking for trainee innovation consultants and trainee designers to join our 6-month Jumpstart programme!
Are you excited by the idea of experimenting with new sources of revenue for a major UK train operator, running a start-up lab for a renowned media company, reimagining the post-COVID high-street retail experience, or launching financial products that will help the UK achieve carbon neutrality? If the answer is yes, Magnetics JumpStart programme might be for you. Over 6 months, youll receive a supported, hands-on immersion into the world of innovation consulting and digital design with exposure to multiple clients and industries. Were looking for curious, self-starting people who can bring something new to Magnetic. After 6 months if it all goes well, and youd like to stay, theres a permanent role for you.
If you love variety, youll love it at Magnetic. Every project we work on is different, because they each tackle different challenges in different industries. Both trainee innovation consultants and trainee designers could expect to:
- Work as part of a project team to help clients develop new propositions and address business challenges in innovative ways, building collaborative and entrepreneurial cultures along the way
- Research the needs of customers (by speaking to them directly, organising journal studies, surveying them, etc.) and then ensure their needs, problems, and experiences are at the heart of new products and services
- Learn how to test whether customers actually want a product or service before your client invests in creating it
Experience a variety of industries, from financial services to consumer goods,media, engineering, and more!
Additionally, if you join us as a trainee designer youll work with our designer team and youll also:
Gain unparalleled experience, as you get involved in user research, information architecture, content analysis, interaction design, visual design, prototyping and much more
Get involved with the insight, imagination and regular research we use to create incredible experiences for clients
- First Interview- a 30 minute interview where well tell you more about Magnetic, get to know you a bit better, and discuss your application.
- Assessment centre- The assessment centre is a 90 minute virtual session and the purpose of this stage is to understand how you think and how you approach a challenge. The assessment centre will also give you an idea of the type of work you would be doing at Magnetic. Our past Jumpstarters have all really enjoyed this part of the interview process!
