BCC Group is looking for a 1st Line Support Engineer to join our team.
BCC are a long established MSP and an exciting opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated individual to join our service desk team. With a desire to learn and a keen interest in technology, candidates will need good communication skills and a willingness to be involved in all technical aspects of ICT.
Job Description:
Support the day-to-day operations of the IT department by providing technical support to users and IT professionals. This role will be responsible for assisting end users with resolving issues, troubleshooting problems, and resolving technical issues.
Our ideal candidate will have been working as a 1st line support engineer for at least 12 months with a desire to progress, learn, and take on more responsibilities with the guidance of senior team members.
Daily duties would include:-
- Work as part of the Support Team, answering the telephone and reporting faults on our call reporting database.
- Replying to emails and keeping customers up to date with relevant updates.
- Identifying and allocating faults to other team members.
- Performing proactive system monitoring – checking backups, error logs etc.
- Setting up desktops and laptops for new starters.
- Fault resolution, both remotely and on-site, escalating if required.
We will be providing on the job training in all areas. We offer a full range of additional services including programming, database design, telecommunications, networking and security, all of which would be attainable skills with our training, all we ask for is a willingness to learn,
Working hours are 09:00 to 17:30 or 08:30 to 17:00 Monday to Friday.
