The Workforce Development Team, part of the Corporate Education Department, aims to inspire and inform career journeys and provide pathways and opportunities to our workforce. This is achieved by delivering work programmes such as apprenticeships, employability programmes and engagement with young people in education settings and beyond. The team are recruiting for an exciting opportunity for B5 Project Support Manager (Employability), based at the Comely Bank Centre, Edinburgh; however, it will be required to have a blended approach with a high level of office and site-based working with some working from home. Due to the nature of the role this will mean a flexible approach to working and travel across sites within NHS Lothian. This role will be well suited to highly skilled individuals who have experience of engaging with people in employability programmes, through career engagement and experience in widening access delivery with an understanding of programmes from an employer-led approach. This will require strong skills in communication, facilitation and engagement, leadership skills, advanced IT skills and project management. The successful person will be adaptive, innovative, resilient and have a proactive mindset and evidence the ability to work across multiple programmes of work in with an Agile approach. You will have responsibility, in a fast-paced environment, line managing a team of administrators. You will influence the delivery of new and established employability programmes, in addition to school engagement and work experience. The ability to adapt to changing priorities and demands and embrace new ways of working is essential.
The post requires knowledge of employability, recruitment, project management and Quality Improvement, and a diverse skill set across all areas. Formal education at SCQF 8 in Business/Management/Youth Work/Careers Advice is required to be eligible for this role.
