Job description

Exciting Band 5 and Band 6 opportunities are available in Torbay, Devon, to be part of the acute in-patient mental health Occupational Therapy Team.

The team aims to provide a recovery focused Occupational Therapy service to support people to re-engage with their ordinary lives

Patients have a range of mental health and recovery challenges. You will assess and treat patients individually and use group work in a variety of environments on and off the ward. The successful applicants will be expected to work at a good pace, be flexible and creative in approach and work independently.

We have a new ward opening in early 2023 in Torbay. Salus Ward is sixteen bedded unit, with high-quality facilities and a therapeutic environment which lends itself to occupational therapy interventions.

We have a range of opportunities to join our acute in-patient OT team across Torbay. We are also working with the local acute hospital trust and social care to develop a Band 5 mixed rotation. This will become available in early 2023.

To showcase our new acute ward we are running an Open Day on Friday 24 February 2023 which will also include a CPD session for participants. We are able to offer interviews during the Open Day for OTs who have current HCPC registration.

To book your place on this event or for further information, please register your interest and we will send you further details
