Kane’s Writing is looking to bring on a third member to join our YouTube scriptwriting team. If you’re passionate about producing high-quality writing and enjoy the freedom of remote work, we want you!
Job Description:
You’ll be writing engaging, retention-driven scripts for YouTube channels with up to eight million subscribers. You’ll be following the client’s guidelines accurately and providing high-quality work. Perfect punctuation, grammar, and spelling are a must.
This is a contract for a part-time position where one can expect to write 1-2 1500-word scripts a week. However, we are looking to onboard someone into a permanent full-time position.

What We Want From You:
This job is entirely remote, though we often meet via video call to discuss the business. A strong internet connection is thus highly recommended!
Most of our clients purchase 1500-word scripts. However, you’ll also be expected to write short-form content from 100 to 500 words, as well as longer scripts that exceed 3000 words.
The topics you’ll be working on vary dramatically. One day you might be writing about true crime - the next, you could be writing about the differences between England and Finland. Adapting your style to fit the client’s needs and being flexible are key to this line of work.
Attention to detail is also of the highest importance. You’ll be asked to showcase your creativity by tailoring the script to the client’s style, as well as including comments about how you structured the text and staying consistent with our formatting.
Qualifications:
- Please send us any samples of your previous writing. The more varied, the better.
- If selected for an interview, you will be asked to write two sample texts - one unpaid, the other paid.
- Any prior experience, either academic or professional, is welcome but certainly not required.
Remuneration:
Remuneration is paid by project.
The pay is $100 USD per 1500-word script. As the business grows and prices rise, so will your pay. All tips for your work will also go to you.
Once you are proficient in long-form content, you will be given the opportunity to work on short-form content and commercial scripts as well.

The team is made up of two people: Kane Sillifant, founder and CEO, and Niall Murray, lead writer. We operate primarily on Fiverr and Upwork, although we’re building our own platform to serve our clients better and cement our brand.
