YouTube Channel Manager

£25,000 - 35,000 per annum pro rata

Barry Lewis, host of the established YouTube channel, is looking for a part-time YouTube Channel Manager for two to three days a week. The ideal applicant will have the knowledge and experience to support in analytic research into content optimisation as well as a great understanding of ongoing trends within the YouTube food industry. The role will include optimising channel content, thumbnailing, writing titles and video descriptions and ongoing research and feedback on channel data findings.

The channel is seeking applicants with experience in understanding the data behind growing a YouTube channel. An awareness and understanding of additional media platforms and potentially relevant ongoing trends within these platforms would be beneficial. As well as a clear demonstration of the listed skills, the channel is looking for someone with a collaborative attitude who will show a drive for growing the channel.

This role is remote and does not involve any editing or camera production responsibilities.

The Role

As a Channel Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading discussions on how best to develop and grow the channel. You’ll be fluent in the use of YouTube Creator Studio and show confidence in actioning data findings to optimise the channel.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with a passion for the digital sphere and the data behind making successful content. You will be able to demonstrate an interest and understanding of food based content; experience working with food based channels would be beneficial but not essential. Ultimately, you will need to be confident in collating data based feedback and effectively actioning this.

You will be happy working independently and confident in leading your own tasks and initiating your own research to be the sole source of data feedback. For the right candidate there is the opportunity to grow and develop with the channel and aid with future diversification and the potential for the role to become a full time position.

Barry Lewis is an established YouTube channel with close to one million subscribers, over 200 million views and a back catalogue of thousands of videos. Barry started filming content in 2011 and has been making content ever since, solidifying his name in the food content world, continuing to grow and share his recipes.
