About the role:
FireFit Hub is a state-of-the-art world class facility for young people and the community, delivering a range of youth work programmes and interventions.
We are currently seeking a Youth Worker - who can deliver a high-quality varied programme within a group and one-to-one offering tailored support to meet the needs of young people.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Facilitating and delivering of a wide range of activities including but not limited to sports, arts and craft, outdoor games, music & dance. Support members to achieve their potential.
- Introducing any new potential members to existing members, complete inductions and ensure all relevant paperwork is completed.
- Engaging with young people in planned structured programme of activities, adopting a safe and inclusive approach whilst remaining vigilant to any potential safeguarding issues ensuring that the correct reporting procedures are followed.
- Highlighting issues to the management team if there are any concerns.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Relevant Youth Work Qualification or Experience of working with young people.
- Experience of working with young people and evidence of understanding young people’s development needs and the issues important to them.
- The ability to communicate and respond to the changing needs of young people.
