Job Title: Youth Support Worker (Bank)

Salary/ Contract
£17,290 - £26,556+ per annum expected earnings based on 35 hours+ per week bank

The Role
In this role, you will be working closely with young people, colleagues, and professionals to promote young peoples welfare. You will support young people to complete activities to promote their independence and ensure any concerns are recorded and reported. Safeguarding will be at the forefront of everything you do.
Your duties will be varied and rewarding, including but not limited to:
- Engaging young people in activities
- Encouragement and development of life skills such as budgeting, attending appointments and finances
- Working towards positive outcomes regarding emotional needs, employment, education, training, mental health
- Developing healthy lifestyles building trust, socialising, showing empathy, healthy living
- Safeguarding young people and protecting from harm
- Reading and updating risk assessments
- Reporting any concerns in relation to child protection
- Ensuring all documents and reports are completed
- Attending relevant meetings with professionals such as social workers
- Providing a positive, welcoming and stimulating environment for young people
