At The Prince's Trust, we’re passionate about supporting young people aged 11 to 30 to get into jobs, education and training. We have an exciting opportunity for somebody enthusiastic to join our organisation as a Young Development Lead. You will join one of our Development Awards Programmes in Edinburgh Our Development Awards Programme involves working with young people to support them in breaking down financial barriers they may have to move onto their next positive steps such as education, training or employment.

What does a Youth Development Lead do?

As a Youth Development Lead (YDL), you will be at the heart of our Delivery Team. Each day is different and there are always exciting projects for you to get involved in! Your day-to-day activities to make an impact will include:

• Reporting any safeguarding concerns for young people on your caseload. This includes completing complex risk assessments, liaising with external agencies, and producing safeguarding reports.
• Attracting, engaging and onboarding young people to the opportunity through social media, job centres, working with community groups, job fairs and local outreach events.
• Managing caseloads and supporting young people in removing barriers to employment and sustaining a positive outcome.
• Ensuring high quality delivery of the Development Award offer through efficient time and workload management skills and collaborating effectively with colleagues
