Location: Youth Offending Service (based from The Council House DCC Offices) / Children’s Locality Teams (based from Stanley Road DCC Offices)
Post 1:
Vacancies have arisen in the Derby City Council Youth Offending Service for Full-Time Youth Crime Prevention Workers.
This is an excellent opportunity to engage with Youth Justice work in an entry-level position with the Youth Offending Service, through which the successful applicant(s) will deliver direct work with children on a 1-to-1 basis, and in groups, as well as working within the broader local youth justice and partnership arrangements, for the purpose of the Prevention of offending by children in the City of Derby.
The successful applicant(s) will be situated within the wider Youth Offending Service that is responsible for the whole of the City of Derby, but will be placed with a Children’s Social Care ‘Locality’ Team responsible for one of 3 areas of Derby, in which they will act as a Youth Offending Service specialist; working alone, or alongside safeguarding professionals, to support children where there are concerns that they may enter the Youth Justice System in future.
