The role
We have a fantastic opportunity for two insightful and diligent Young Persons Substance Misuse Case Managers. You will be responsible for all aspects of case management and acting as a lead professional to deliver high quality substance misuse service provision to young people in line with Camden’s Early Help and Resilience Families strategies and the National Drug Treatment Service requirement. The successful candidates will have previous demonstrable experience carrying out assessments and delivering specialist tier 2 and 3 substance misuse interventions to young people aged up to 25 within the Borough of Camden. In addition, the ideal candidate will offer training for a range of professionals and deliver workshops for groups of young people in schools and in the community.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS.

To be considered for one of these exciting opportunities it is essential for the post holder to hold a professional qualification in either Social Work, Health and Social Care, Psychology/Counselling or Substance Misuse. The ideal candidate will be educated to Degree level with the accompanying registration to the relevant regulatory body. You will have an excellent working knowledge of effective interventions for working with substance misuse such as CBT, MI and the recovery agenda.
The successful candidate will possess an in-depth understanding of relevant substance misuse legislation and guidance governing the principles underpinning work with young people who misuse substances.
