Job description
We are looking for a local talented actor to join our current Witches and History walking tour coven in the glorious city of York. We need someone with good availability on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. There will also be cover dates.
This is a fully scripted piece and rehearsals will start w/c 29th May. Terms and hours are flexible. The tour takes place in and around York's old town and focuses on tales of Yorkshire witches across the ages, with a little bit of York history thrown in along the way too.
This is a one-woman/man show; all eyes on you. We’re looking for strong actors who are super confident with a lovely high engaging energy - someone who will embody the character of our fun, quirky, knowledgeable Witch. The role is written as a friendly whimsical 'Witch', not a wicked one.
We're looking for:
- Very strong outside projection (with the help of a radio mic)
- Engaging storytelling abilities
- A confident people manager
- Someone comfortable working alone - and outside, whatever the weather!
A Yorkshire accent would be ideal, but others will be considered.
Job Types: Part-time, Freelance, Zero hours contract
Contract length: 12 months
Part-time hours: 0-12 per week
Salary: Up to £90.00 per day
