Job Brief:
TRAD UK are looking for a hardworking, reliable and trustworthy Yard Operative to join our successful Glasgow operation.
The responsibilities of this role involve the picking and making up loads from our scaffolding and safety product ranges, along with booking back into stock returns from our hire fleet while servicing our client’s requests. Although not essential (as full product training will be given), ideally the candidate would have worked within the scaffolding industry or have previous warehouse / yard experience.
The role reports directly to the Yard Manager and ultimately to the Depot Manager and Assistant Depot Manager, and has the core objective of looking after our customers’ requirements by preparing / loading / unloading their orders in a friendly, safe and timely manner.
TRAD UK’s core customer base is as follows:

· Main Contractors
· Civils Contractors
· Industrial & commercial roofing contractors
· Structures Contractors (RC, steel, timber)
· FM companies
· Scaffolding Contractors
Candidate:
As previously mentioned, experience of the TRAD UK products are not necessarily a pre-requisite, as full product training will be given. However, experience of yard / warehouse work, along with knowledge of the scaffolding and construction industries is preferable, along with the ability to work diligently and respectfully within a team.
The candidate does not require forklift experience, although it would be preferable to possess a licence to operate a counter-balance truck.
Core Responsibilities:
· Pick, count and prepare client’s orders
· Count and return to stock hire equipment
· Stock-check preparation
· Keep yard in clean and tidy state
· Working in a safe manner to TRAD UK’s procedures and current legislation
· Communicate with clients and colleagues alike in a well-mannered and courteous way

· Core Hours 08.00 to 17.00 Monday to Friday, but must be flexible and able to work over-time at short notice. Weekend work maybe required when necessitated by business needs, while being essential for twice yearly stock checks
