
Wye Programme Manager Birmingham, England
Job description
We are working hard to address these issues and require a programme manager to lead and coordinate the delivery of our work across the catchment. With exceptional project management skills, the candidate will be able to coordinate multiple projects, working effectively across different regulatory regimes and business departments, and supporting our leaders with understanding the complex issues in the catchment and working with others to develop a forward programme of work.
You will also be responsible for leading the Wye Virtual Team, which is a catchment group that represents staff across all Water, Land and Biodiversity teams
- The ability to coordinate multiple projects to ensure that they are working effectively, in line with both Area and National priorities
- Leadership skills that inspire and motivate others to deliver results across multi-disciplinary teams
- Excellent communication skills; developing effective working relationships both internally and externally
- Innovative thinker, with proven abilities including working at pace, in an often changing (at short-notice) environment
- Good data management skills and analytical thinking
- Ability to work independently and prioritise workload
- A good understanding of the of the pressures faced within water environment
Please note that whilst this role is focused on the River Wye catchment, you will be expected to support other priority catchments and/or groups across West Midlands area.
A full UK driving license is required for this role.
