About The Role

Thentia is looking for an adaptable, energetic, passionate technical writer to join our proposal team on a freelance basis. Thentia anticipates this role to require 10-30 hours a week, depending on workload capacity. This role sits with the RFP and Proposal team and will work on content for RFP responses. In this role you will work directly with the proposal team to produce relevant RFP material and narratives that produce winning RFP responses.

Our ideal candidate has experience with both SaaS companies and RFP responses in the public sector.

  • Proposal Strategy: Collaborate with the proposal team and key stakeholders to develop proposal strategies that align with client requirements and objectives. Provide insights and recommendations on proposal structure, messaging, and win themes to enhance the overall quality and competitiveness of proposals.
  • Editing and Proofreading: Review and edit proposal content for clarity, grammar, spelling, and formatting consistency. Ensure all written materials adhere to the organization's branding guidelines and maintain a professional tone.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of proposal development
  • 1+ year experience in technical writing
  • Exceptional writing, grammar, and communication skills
  • Comfortable working independently and being self-motivated
  • Ability to grasp technical concepts and write eloquently about them to both technical and executive audiences.
  • Experience with SaaS companies
  • Experience with Public Sector bids
  • Experience with proposal response technology platforms a plus
