Workshop Technician

Our products are designed to integrate seamlessly with the whole range of Electrical Submersible Pumps (ESP) operations. From concept and design, to production and delivery, through to installation and training, we provide the complete service to our customers.
The Role:
Reporting to the Workshop Manager, as Workshop Technician the role involves a wide range of tasks in order to maintain schedules set by Production. The range of tasks include assembly of components, torque of assemblies and pressure testing of assemblies – as well as preparation of equipment for shipping to clients, both locally and internationally.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare equipment for construction into assemblies as detailed on work orders, drawings and procedures provided
- Assemble and function test equipment as per instructions provided
- Mark-up equipment for torqueing following procedures and drawings provided
- Torqueing of assemblies following procedures and drawings provided
- Perform pressure testing of completed assemblies following procedures and drawings provided
- Paint and preserve equipment for storage and shipping as applicable
- Assist with packing of equipment into specified packaging, securely and safely ready for shipping
- Maintaining housekeeping of work areas ensuring tools are put away when not in use & equipment and products are stored in their identified areas
- Identify and report any hazards or safety issues
- Maintain tooling and report any defective equipment or tooling that is out-with calibration to your supervisor
The Person:
You will need good organizational skills and the ability to read engineering drawings.
You will be self-motivated with an excellent attitude to teamwork.
Excellent attention to detail is a must along with the flexibility to work on different duties and tasks.
Qualifications & Experience:
You will need workshop experience along with sound mechanical knowledge and basic computer skills.
Ideally you will have a relevant mechanical qualification - apprenticeship/HNC/HND.
