The Role

This role is for a workshop mechanic working in the Cabin Fittings Workshop at our London Heathrow Engineering Base. The role consists of general fitting on Cabin Units, decorative repairs and use of various machines including sewing and carpet overlocking machines. You would be working with various departments and stakeholders to maintain the British Airways fleet of engines, underpinning our standards of maintenance excellence.


Skills Required

  • You will have good engineering hand skills and must be able to follow procedures and technical documentation.
  • You will demonstrate good interpersonal and people skills and be an effective communicator.
  • You will have good analytical and problem-solving skills and be PC literate.
  • You can work with engineering and document management systems.
  • Experience in an aviation environment is desirable but not essential.
