We are working with a well-established engineering business in Braintree that due to growth, is looking to recruit a number of additional roles.
It has a large regular order book, but also undertakes regular bespoke architectuaral projects for clients in the rail and commercial sectors. In the past, they have also done one-off projects including the Cenotaph War Memorial in London.
They are looking to recruit a Workshop Labourer who will be responsible for the general labour of the site.
You will be responsible for:
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
- General labouring.
- Ensuring health and safety is being followed in the workshop.
As the business grows, there may be opportunities to go into the production side of the foundry.
The organisation has ambitious plans to grow its production over the new few years, so there will be plenty of scope for career development and is happy to support any personal development/training required to do this.
The successful candidate will ideally have labouring experience in a workshop and have a counterbalance fork truck license.
They are prepared to pay an hourly rate of £11.52-£12.22, equating to £23,400-£24,800
The company also pays an attendance bonus of £2k pa and usually awards a profit-related bonus of £1k pa. With all of these bonuses and consistent overtime £34,000 is achievable.
