A vacancy has arisen at the Fleet Workshops at Devizes HQ for a Bicycle Technician/Workshop Assistant. The post holder will be responsible for the basic servicing and repair of the Force’s fleet of pedal cycles. They will also maintain records of work carried out. In addition, they will be responsible for various ancillary support tasks in the Fleet Department such as keeping the fuel pumps and car wash areas clean. They will be responsible for basic checks and cleaning of the Force’s pool and other vehicles as required. They will provide support to other members of the team such as collecting or delivering vehicles. The post holder will be based at our Devizes Workshop although may on occasion be required to work at one of our other sites.
The post holder should have some experience of maintaining pedal cycles and will have the opportunity to gain a qualification in this area if they don’t already have one. Experience of carrying out basic maintenance tasks or in a workshop environment, valeting or removing livery from cars would be beneficial but not essential as training will be given.

Salary £20,760 - £21,645
