Role:
Reporting to Head of Workplace Solutions (WPS) Data, Insights and Analytics (IDA) you will be responsible for supporting to develop and maintain a system-based approach to data driven insights to inform M&G’s Workplace Strategy and optimise the performance of is operational real estate globally. You will form part of the Insights, Data and Analytics team to help to deliver the WPS Data Strategy, supporting WPS to be a market leading Workplace function in managing and utilising its data, with fully integrated analytics and data management processes that supports data-driven decision making on the WPS-owned estate.
This is a multi-faceted and dynamic role that requires the ability to undertake data modelling, analytics and reporting as well as supporting the establishment, implementation and running of new data management processes across the team to integrate data analytics into all areas of WPS.
Role Responsibilities:
  • Support in executing the agreed WPS Data Strategy, leveraging external best practice and applying it to the needs of WPS and the broader business.
  • Develop and maintain data models, analytics and reporting as required to support in transitioning to data-driven decision making across different areas of WPS.
  • Support in establishing, implementing, and maintaining clear and transparent standardised processes for ownership and flow of data for all WPS.
  • Support in establishing, implementing, and maintaining protocols, roles and best practice for analysis / models and reporting for all WPS.
  • Manage the Data library ensuring key datasets are updated in line with agreed cadence and report ownership is kept up to date.
  • Manage the Data Activity Tracker used to document current and future report development and support running of governance to manage the tracker.
  • Support in auditing data management processes across WPS following implementation.
  • Support in managing complex data analysis and report-building undertaken for WPS team through WPS Projects Change Process.
  • Support in driving best practice in data management and reporting use across WPS, helping to upskill the team.
  • Support in collaborating with Other Functions across M&G to identify and implement best data management approach and application for long term.
Skills & Capabilities:
  • Plus 3 years’ experience of working in Insight, Data and Analytics within a large, complex company (e.g. FTSE100).
  • Proven success in:
    • Strong capabilities to manage and manipulate data using data packages and tools such as such as Excel, PowerBI, Tableau etc.
    • Improving and maintaining data processes and controls to ensure effective and efficient risk management of data and data analytics
    • Producing clear, compelling, data driven management information and insights
    • Training team members in data analytics and reporting
    • Team player, builds strong, trusting and supportive relationship with peers and team
    • Analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
    • Demonstrating curious and commitment to continuous improvement
    • Ability to simplify complexity
    • Consulting and influencing senior leadership teams and stakeholders
