PwC
Full Time London, England 25066 - 45000 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

The world of risk is changing. Today’s business environment is different. More complex. More connected. More volatile. While this environment makes it much harder to predict where new risks will come from, we believe that it represents an opportunity for businesses to transform and innovate. We work with our clients to protect and strengthen every aspect of their business; from people to performance, systems to strategy and business plans to business resilience. Through our invaluable insights and independent assurance we can help our clients to discover and unlock real value.

Our capabilities, scale and ability to bring together leading-edge specialists to tackle the toughest risk situations helps us create a sustainable competitive advantage. But it’s our people, their curiosity and the inclusive, collaborative culture that sets us apart. Difference makes a difference and individuality is celebrated and embraced. We’re investing in growth and innovation. Our people are supported by the right tools and technology to strengthen our business and stay at the cutting-edge of new techniques. We nurture bold and dynamic behaviours to push the boundaries and be truly distinctive in the market.

Technology, Data and Analytics

In Data and Analytics we help our clients analyse big and complex data sets by linking performance and decision making with data and technology. This could mean driving new growth opportunities, operating more efficiently or identifying and managing risk

Data and analytics is revolutionising business, underpinning decision making and driving innovation. But greater volumes and more detailed data brings new challenges for businesses in converting that data into a more comprehensible and user-friendly format – creating actionable insights and applying these to transform an organisation.

Technology impacts every aspect of our lives. From the way schools and universities educate, how we interact socially, how we store information, how we shop, to how businesses operate; Technology drives almost every aspect of the way the modern world operates.

We work with our clients to create a technology strategy that is fit for the digital age. And, we then help them implement systems, processes and controls that strengthen their IT resilience to support how technology enables effective business operations.

Programme

During this three-day paid programme you’ll get an insight into what a career at PwC could look like. You’ll virtually meet mentors and buddies who’ll represent the variety of opportunities available across PwC. You’ll meet some of our Female colleagues to hear about their own personal career journeys, as well as from some of our networks focussed on Inclusion and Diversity. Through interactive sessions the programme will help you to develop confidence in a business setting and encourage you to bring your whole self to the workplace. At PwC, we nurture an environment where our people can be the best they can be.

Our Women in Business programme will be a 3-day paid programme which will be run in Spring or Summer 2023. You will need to be in the UK to complete this programme.

The office locations for this role are:

London, Reading, Bristol and Glasgow.

What you'll do

Our team works with clients to take advantage of new opportunities presented by technology. We establish the right controls, processes and structures to ensure our clients and their applications are compliant with their internal policies and the external regulations they must comply with. We ensure that information and data provided to third parties is accurate, complete and can be trusted.

You'll be working to help organisations manage the risks and opportunities associated with their technology. This covers all aspects of technology, including:
Advising on how to set an IT strategy fit for their business in the digital world
Analysing large volumes of data in order to inform decision making – this will include the use of data transformation and visualisation technologies
Reviewing and improving how projects and transformations are delivered
Advising how to make IT organisations more effective
Helping clients understand the opportunities from emerging technology, including the use of advanced analytics.

You’ll have opportunities to work across industry sectors and across the UK to provide technology and data led advice to clients. This could be in the creation or implementation of a new technology or providing advice to business leaders on the opportunities that their technology can enable.

What you’ll need

You’ll need to be in your penultimate year of an undergraduate or postgraduate degree; or
you’ll need to be in your final year of an undergraduate degree with a one year postgraduate place confirmed; and
you’ll need to have achieved or be on track to pass an undergraduate degree or above in any subject. We determine whether you’re on course to pass based on the grades you achieved in your last completed year of academic study.

  • Deadline to complete Career Unlocked, our behavioral based assessment is 27 February 2023
