Job Title: Wok ChefJob Summary: We are seeking a talented and experienced Wok Chef to join our team at Woks, a fast-growing pan Asian QSR startup. As a Wok Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious pan Asian dishes with speed and precision. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about Asian cuisine, have strong culinary skills, and can contribute innovative ideas to our menu offerings. Initially, this role will require working one day a week, with the potential for increased shifts as the company expands.Responsibilities:Prepare and cook a variety of pan Asian dishes, such as stir-fries, noodles, and meat (plant based also) based dishes, in a fast-paced kitchen environmentEnsure all dishes are prepared with consistent quality, taste, and presentationWork efficiently to meet customer demand and maintain high-speed cooking without compromising food qualityAdhere to food safety and sanitation standards to ensure a clean and safe working environmentCollaborate with the kitchen team to develop and refine recipes, ensuring that they align with our brand's vision and customer preferencesStay updated on culinary trends and developments in pan Asian cuisine to continuously enhance menu offeringsAssist in inventory management, including monitoring ingredient levels and suggesting reordering when necessaryMaintain a clean and organized workstation, following proper food handling and storage proceduresContribute creative ideas for menu development, special promotions, and seasonal offeringsQualifications:Previous experience as a Wok Chef or in a similar role, with a strong background in cooking pan Asian cuisineExcellent knowledge of Asian flavors, spices, and cooking techniquesAbility to work efficiently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detailStrong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectivelyFlexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends, as the company growsCreativity and willingness to contribute new ideas to menu development and culinary innovationsStrong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the kitchen teamFood safety and sanitation certification is a plusIf you are passionate about pan Asian cuisine, have a drive for innovation, and thrive in a startup environment, we would love to hear from you.
