Job description
Summary
Key Qualifications
- Comprehensive understanding of propagation/channel modeling theory for various environments (e.g. indoor vs outdoor) and technologies (e.g. LTE, Bluetooth, WiFi, mmW)
- Proficiency in measuring wireless channel characteristics (e.g. channel sounding, multipath propagation, range pathloss, fading, delay spread, doppler shift)
- Proficiency in emulating air interface (using a channel-emulator / fader e.g. Vertex or PROPSIM) for testing wireless communication systems
- Proficiency in simulating wireless propagation in complex environments (e.g. SBR+ HFSS, WinProp, InSite, EDX)
- Experience with antenna design/test, EM wave propagation analysis, anechoic chambers and radiated performance evaluation like antenna-efficiency, TRP & TIS
- Experience with RF lab equipment (e.g. network analyzer, channel emulator, signal generator, signal analyzer, wireless network emulator)
- Experience with analysis of wireless communication systems such as LTE, 5G mmWave, WiFi, Bluetooth etc. including the corresponding system-level key performance indicators
- Programming ability in Python, Matlab &/or R (or other equivalent)
- Traveling up to 15% of the time may be required
- We see the more you have of the following as a BONUS:
- 5+ years of industry experience or equivalent
- Recent experience in wireless channel research (measurement, emulation &/or simulation)
- Recent experience in OTA characterization
- Recent experience in 5G/mmWave, UWB, WiFi &/or Bluetooth technologies
