The main function of this role is to assist the Wilder Northumberland Development Officer in creating a wilder Northumberland by working with landowners and communities to increase biodiversity, increase habitat linkages and encourage sustainable land use.
The Wilder Northumberland project consults and involves local communities including famers and other landowners to facilitate wilder nature friendly management to ‘ready the landscape’ for reintroduction of keynote species and other missing elements of ecosystems, restoring natural processes as far as possible. The project is also looking to set up a Wilder Northumberland network to allow peer learning and spotlighting of projects and businesses.
This role is fulltime - 35 hours per week and is offered on a fixed term contract finishing on the 31st of March 2025. The salary will be in line with our B grade scale (£20,000 - £21,840).
