A permanent and full time vacancy has arisen for an ‘Engineering Stores Controller’ within the Engineering department based on days working Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm reporting to the Engineering Director.
The successful individual will be confident, highly motivated and possess both IT and administrative skills, coupled with excellent organisational and communication skills. The position involves a high degree of both internal and external liaison at all levels. A broad base appreciation of engineering parts and terminology would be an advantage.
The role will involve:
- Actively involved in receiving goods in from suppliers and distributing them among the varying departments internally. You will ensure you book stock into the stores and book stock out to ensure all stock levels balance when stock takes are undertaken.
- You will possess excellent communication skills, as you will be dealing with individuals at all levels and liaising with suppliers, placing orders and obtaining the best prices for all goods that are required into the business.
- You will be responsible for the purchase of workwear for varying departments, along with various engineering parts for the Engineering functions of the business. This will also involve the ordering of all printed tickets, labels, books, stationary and cleaning materials for staff and contractors.
- Once items have come into stock you will be required to utilise our Tropos stock system to record all items and put forward for payment.
