Job description
An enthusiastic Repack Team Member is required for our Wincanton business supporting the Repack operation on AM/PM/Nights. This is a permanent full-time position, which requires all successful candidates to complete a 3-month probationary period. We are looking for someone who can work effectively, collaboratively and perform to a high standard. Reporting to one of the Repack Team Leaders, the successful candidate will be an ambassador in safety and performance whilst on shift. This is an excellent opportunity to work in partnership with a key strategic customer.
How will you contribute?
- Rework of our customers products to their customer’s specification, through various methods of manual labour and partly automated processes, from building promotional stands, to re-traying products into various new tray formats, re-stacking pallets, to quality checks.
- Participation in various projects will be required as the company develops its Lean Six Sigma programme with a view to making improvements in all aspects of the Operation
- Participation in MTM projects (methods time measurement) when requested, which is in use within the Repack operation.
- Participation in company initiatives such as “IMPACT” (the company values and standards), LDF (Learning and Development Framework) which is linked into NVQ development.
- A key part of the Team Members role is the maintenance of a safe and tidy work environment ensuring that all food safety (HACCP) standards are achieved and therefore each team member must be committed to general housekeeping duties.
- Contractual requirement to comply with all Company Health, Safety and Quality procedures to ensure safe working practices and a safe working environment exists for all.
