Job description
As part of the EMEA Primary Closing team you will play a key role in delivering a best in class service to our stakeholders. You will partner closely with our Front Office Debt Capital Markets & Leveraged Finance teams to understand the logistics of newly originated and amended loan transactions. You will use your initiative and drive to effectively communicate the structure and timing of these transactions to our Middle Office teams. You will work efficiently to ensure transactions are accurately reflected across our settlement platforms, allowing our clients to settle as quickly as possible. We encourage continuous improvement across all of our processes and welcome you to provide a fresh perspective to our already highly skilled team.
Job Responsibilities
- Partnering with the trading desk, external clients, legal counsel and operations to thoroughly understand deal structure with focus on transfer mechanics.
- Coordinating with internal and external legal counsel to negotiate proposed changes to trade related documentation such as Transfer Documents, Fronting Agreements.
- Reconciling trade bookings in line with agreed documentation, raising any discrepancies with the appropriate contacts.
- Identifying and escalating issues to front office, transaction coordinators, legal counsel and operations management.
- Working directly with counterparties, internal partners and external Agents to resolve issues.
- Working on non-BAU projects and initiatives designed to improve automation and strengthen the team’s control environment.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- A problem solving mindset, willing to learn and adapt to a changing landscape.
- Graduate Calibre.
- Must have excellent client service skills.
- Ability to multitask efficiently under pressure and in a fast paced environment.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Knowledge of Loan IQ and ClearPar.
- An understanding of LMA Syndicated Loan Credit Agreements with the ability to apply that understanding in a trading context.
- Experience in LMA Primary/Secondary loan trading settlement.
