We have a brilliant opportunity to join our White Spirits Team as a Distillery Operator at one of Scotland’s largest distilleries - Diageo, Cameronbridge!
Salary including shift allowance - £58,940.83+ competitive benefits package including pension, shares scheme and bonus!

About the role
Your role will include operating computer-based systems to control and manage the White Spirits (Gin and Vodka) process and the ancillary activities that surround this. Leading strong delivery of targets, relating to efficiency, quality, energy, and cost is paramount, along with ensuring full compliance is met with the statutory regulations and procedures relating to Risk, HMRC and environmental constraints.
Flexibility to work and amend working patterns at short notice, include working additional hours to support with sickness and holiday cover is an excellent attribute you will bring. Your own working requirements will also be considered to ensure an inclusive and diverse culture.
The successful applicant will support the delivery of efficient and well led production of White Spirit brands, while co-ordinating and prioritising production operations. Daily you ensure control of, supervise and optimise the production processes (on a PC controlled system) to drive performance improvements while meeting Diageo and legislative requirements.
Health and safety compliance is key and you’ll be at the forefront of making sure this is monitored alongside other Key Performance Indicators and targets including quality, efficiency, energy management, planning and cost efficiency.
As a White Spirits Distillery Operator, you will be trained how to respond to varying site situations and how to de-escalate them. Bringing strong communication skills to the role will give you the tools needed to facilitate discussions, internally with your team but also externally with suppliers to co-ordinate delivery of raw materials in relation to production requirements.
This role is based around 7 day working and includes a 3-shift pattern totalling 216 shifts per year.
Shifts patters will entail, day-shift (6:00 – 14:00), back-shift (14:00 – 22.00), nightshift (22:00 – 06:00)
About you
Do you have the capacity to deliver against and own Key Performance Indicators? If so and have experience working within a fast-paced process environment, planning optimally to meet targets then this is the position for you.
Bringing with you world class manufacturing excellence techniques and being comfortable leading Daily Operational Reviews, RCPS (Root Cause Problem Solving), and Operational Planning are exactly the qualities that will set you up for success.
It’d be great if you had experience of technical or other science related topic or equivalent but this is not essential.
Making decisions, problem solving and being able to effectively use these to deliver site, business and brand objectives while supporting your team will be key day to day ways of working.
Embracing and understanding change is vital to a successful working environment.
