We are looking for the White Goods Coordinator (SUT) in GP3.

The salary for this position is £25,000 per annum with a working shift pattern of 09:00 – 17:30 hours Monday – Friday.

The position holder will devise an effective operational solution ensuring White Goods are consolidated at the desired cross dock locations in a timely manner allowing the SUT Central Planning Team to successfully plan the final mile execution from the desired depot (s), taking into account work flow and expertise at the relevant customer and YLUK locations.

Key responsibilities:
1. Planning
a. Review customer delivery requirements/information received via multiple information streams and consolidate into cost and delivery efficient routes that meet customer and business requirements.
b. Utilise resource and equipment to their best advantage to ensure the least potential impact on available equipment to the Central Planning Team.
c. Share relevant information as necessary, to relevant stakeholders to ensure full understanding and visibility of routes
d. Ensure that TMS/EDI systems are updated as appropriate to ensure all team members can identify routes. Where TMS/EDI system is not applicable, information is shared with team members as appropriate.
2. Customer Relations & Communication
a. Liaise with appropriate customer representatives to progress orders, ensuring that delivery requirements can be achieved. Raising at the earliest opportunity any potential issues with achieving the customer expectations.
b. Escalate any potential or realised delivery constraints with the local manager at the earliest opportunity.
c. Ensure that all appropriate documentation required for delivery procedure compliance are received and submitted to meet company procedures.
d. Ensure professional and timely communication with the customer is maintained at all times.
3. Teamwork
a. Establish and maintain good inter department working relationships to ensure full co-operation and communication of customer expectations.
b. Ensure the best use of available expertise and workload restrictions at customer and YLUK sites to position White Goods product for onward final mile planning.
4. Continuous Improvement
a. Identify and recommend appropriate suggestions for problem solving and continuous improvement.
b. Ensure clear communication of any improvement steps taken across the network
5. Communication
a. Act as the conduit for communication between the customer, sales and the warehouse to ensure that orders can be achieved, and where this is not possible alternatives steps are implemented.
b. Provide clear and timely communication to all required stakeholders of proposed collection plans and associated requirements, ensuring all potential requirements are met.
c. Ensure that any discrepancies or challenges are communicated to your line manager at the earliest opportunity.

Key requirements:
  • Good Geographical knowledge (UK).
  • Previous experience of YLUK SUT operations an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of Road Traffic and drivers’ hours Legislation.
  • Experience in Continuous Improvement and Change Management.
  • Problem solving skills, ability to think laterally. Able to manage multiple issues, having a flexible approach to work
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • IT literate, experience of TMS, specifically ESP an advantage.
  • Flexible approach – ability to support volume increases / holiday & sickness cover etc.
