Whey Operative – Fixed term Up to 6 months
6am to 6pm 4 on 4 off (Days only)
£12,09 per hour plus an unsocial hour’s premium of £3.26 per hour

About The Role
We are looking for a Whey Operator to join our Whey team reporting to the Whey Team Leader. This role is cover role working across the Intake, Evaporator and Separator departments within the Whey Processing department. Some of the responsibilities include:
· Unloading of milk tankers and Operating Dairy Equipment, whist monitor plant performance in a fast paced environment
· Collection and testing of samples taken hourly ensuring all product is within its stated specification, escalation where deviations are identified.
· Ensuring compliance to Food Safety standards are met and Good Manufacturing Practices are used throughout the process.
· Liaise with previous shift operator, evaporator operator, Intake operator, cheese maker, maintenance and whey leadership team
· Operating a variety of Dairy equipment such as Separator, RO machines, Evaporators and Pasteurization Processes including sampling/testing and accurately completing all documentation
· Making process adjustments to maintain plant efficiency
· Versatility relating to completing activities and working hours is a requirement of this role.
About You
You will have a keen eye for detail along with a great ability to keep accurate records and be an excellent communicator. Experience in a previous manufacturing environment would be advantageous (especially within the food industry)
