Job Title: Production Operative – Wet Paint
Responsible To: Paint Shop Supervisor
Post Holders Deputy: Paint Shop Team Leader
Main Purpose of Role:
To prepare components and present in the correct orientation for painting in line with the daily plan. To coat the components effectively in the correct colour to meet customer requirements. To package the components to the correct specification to ensure they reach the customer undamaged and complete
Key Tasks:
· Maintain the spray booth and spray guns
· Loading the line from the job sheets provided
· Uploading the line requiring manual handling of cast iron
· Shrink wrapping products
· Moving products onto pallets

· Hard working and diligent in all tasks undertaken
· Reliable, with a good attitude towards attendance and timekeeping
· Good communication skills – Oral and Written

- Ensure that the require PPE is used at all times
- Ensuring the safety of self and other employees
- Support H&S by the near miss and waste walk process in your area
- Only use equipment for which you are trained
- Complete SOS checks
- Follow the SSW documentation

Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience in working in a busy production environment
- Knowledge and understanding of solvent-based paint but not essential
- Knowledge and understanding of general engineering processes
- Forklift Truck License would be an advantage but not essential
