As we continue to grow, we are looking for a driven individual to assist within our warehouse. This role provides an excellent opportunity to receive on-the-job training and gain experience in warehousing, storage & distribution and offers the right candidate the path to become a key part of our team.
About you:
You must possess a positive 'can do' attitude and be a team player with excellent communication skills. You will train and be required to participate in all aspects of the warehouse function. This role is busy and hands on which requires excellent attention for detail whilst performing a variety of manual handling duties and working at a fast pace.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor and Production Manager, you will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day warehouse activities. This involves (not an exhaustive list):
- Assisting with the loading and unloading of goods
- Taking receipt of goods inwards, ensuring accurate quantities have been received, dealing effectively with any issues or damages
- Accurately logging goods inwards and despatched goods into our stock management system
- Storage and rotation of stock, treating our goods with care
- Timeously supplying production departments with necessary bulk product and packaging materials
- Picking and packing orders to be despatched to our customers
- Assisting with inventory controls, typically using hand-held scanners and assist with stock takes
- Keeping the warehouse environment clean, tidy and safe, checking and maintaining equipment as necessary, reporting any faults or defects
- Actively contribute as a member of the warehouse team, working towards team goals and helping to develop and improve our services and procedures, reporting any issues to the Warehouse Supervisor
- Undertaking any other reasonable duties as requested by the Warehouse Supervisor or Production Manager
Experience, Skills, & Characteristics:
- Previous experience in a similar environment with a keen interest in warehouse operations
- NVQ/SVQ in Warehouse, Storage & Logistics and/or Diploma in Warehouse & Inventory management is desirable
- Forklift Licence – Counterbalance and/or Reach Truck licence is preferred
- Good levels of Maths and English
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess situations, to quickly solve issues
- A responsible attitude, personable, with excellent customer service and communication skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work on your own, but also be an excellent team player and work as part of the wider warehouse and production teams
- Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office and stock management software

The successful candidate will be subject to the satisfactory completion of a 3 month probationary period to assess performance, training and skills attained to help assess the candidate’s suitability to perform the role on a permanent basis.
