Are you motivated to provide women in refuge with a suite of active, creative, innovative and energetic wellbeing activities and also provide 1-2-1 Life skills sessions.

Part of our extended project "Building Resilience & Hope" the successful candidate will join our dynamic team to support women who have experienced Domestic Abuse to build resilience in their mental and physical health.

We want someone with vision and passion with energy for this ambitious project. You’ll be compassionate and emotional intelligent with a passion for supporting women who have experienced domestic & sexual abuse. Please see Job Description and relevant documentation.

JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Wellbeing Worker

SCALE: £20,111 (£11.05/hr) + 4% Pension (pro rata)

HOURS: 35 hours per week

TERM: Maternity Cover (with possibility of extension)

RESPONSIBLE TO: Support Service Manager

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE:

To support and empower women, and their children, using Women’s Aid services who have experienced domestic/sexual abuse and violence (and other forms of violence against them), to make their own decisions.

To support the ethos, vision & aims of Women’s Aid in supporting and empowering women and children.

To provide a range of wellbeing interventions and support processes and programmes for women who have been living with the impact of domestic/sexual violence and abuse.

Please Note: A Criminal Record will not necessarily be a bar to obtaining a position in Women’s Aid Armagh Down.
