SO1/SO2: £26,563 - £28,210 pa (TTO salary for under 5 years Service 39 weeks + 2 days)
37 hours per week, term time only + 2 days

Do you have a passion and commitment for improving education and wellbeing for children and young people who have medical needs? Are you able to deliver therapeutic interventions for children who are not accessing their school due to a variety of health and learning needs?
This is an exciting post within the Medical Needs & Hospital Education Service which is focused on supporting the wellbeing of children and young people with medical and learning needs through therapeutic interventions. We are seeking to recruit a Wellbeing Specialist Practitioner to join our team of enthusiastic professionals.
You will need:
- to complement the professional work of the service using specific knowledge and expertise to plan and deliver support, therapeutic interventions and learning activities for pupils who have SEMH needs
- to provide specialist support, advice and training as part of a team ensuring the SEMH needs of pupils are met effectively and consistently
- to work directly with pupils and families to ensure a high standard of wellbeing and emotional support enabling positive engagement and attendance. Developing and delivering specific individual and small group therapeutic programmes and bespoke programmes of learning to support emotional regulation and wellbeing of pupils. Enabling access to learning and maximising potential to succeed for each learner
