- Welder/Fabricator for Heavylift and Transport Projects
- £13.50 – £15.00 (depending on experience)
- Working at our depot in Hixon, Staffordshire
Welder/Fabricators are a mainstay of our work on site at Hixon, playing a hands-on role in making sure work is carried out accurately and safely. Whether it is cutting, joining, or shaping metal and other materials, you’ll be able to take great pride in being a cornerstone of the projects you work on.
- Working to engineering drawings and WPS's on a daily basis
- Fabricator role includes plating, welding and fettling as required
- Predominantly workshop based, however occasional on site working may be required
- Working as part of a team to produce high quality work
- Ensuring all work is carried out safely and to the required standard
- Eexperience in a heavy fabrication would be an advantage
- Coded experience for MIG, MMA for materials up to S690
- Confidence working with minimal supervision
- Able to read and understand engineering drawings
- Basic understanding of quality requirements to meet specifications
- English, basic proficiency verbal and written
- Basic computer literacy for digital timesheets and work orders
- General awareness and appreciation of safety requirements
- Beneficial to have experience using overhead/jib cranes and FLT's, although training will be provided
- Evidence of experience in a similar role
- Salary £13.50-£15.00 per hour based on experience
- 22 days holiday per year, plus bank holidays
