We currently have an opportunity, for a Welder Fabricator to join our team here in Corringham. This position is in charge of analysing, designing, and constructing fixes for various mechanical issues , with site equipment. Additionally, all varieties of ferrous and non-ferrous welds must be inspected, tested, repaired, and reported
We are searching for an experienced person with EN287-1 coding experience who is skilled with a variety of machine tools for this position. This position works from Monday through Friday for a total of 43.25 hours per week.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- To ensure that all repair and maintenance activities are executed at the highest level of efficiency and quality, at the most optimum cost
- To ensure that all information related to projects, repair and maintenance activities will be recorded in EAMS for each asset and during the life cycle of the asset
- To ensure that all projects, repair and maintenance activities will be executed following DPW Safety standards, engineering procedures developed in line with UK regulations
- Provide support for the development of the necessary method statements and risk assessments related to the activities of the workshop & mobile equipment or cranes section

- Maintain high equipment availability, reliability and safety in line with goals and objectives of LG Asset Management strategy
- To coach Apprentices and Technicians in methods of fabrication, including: - welding, gas cutting, grinding and machining
- To assist the Engineering Team in general duties as time permits, including assisting Shift Teams with routine maintenance and breakdowns
Qualifications & Experience:
- City & Guild NVQ Level 3 in engineering or welding (Or Equivalent/Higher)
- Previously coded to EN287-1 in GMAW and SMAW
- English and Maths Grade C or Equivalent
- Competent with various types of non-destructive testing
- Competent with oxy/gas cutting, plasma cutting and gas heating
- Experience with confine space and over-height work
