WELDER/COMMERCIAL BODY BUILDER – MARKET WEIGHTON REPAIR CENTRE
We are seeking candidates with confident experience in, Welding and Commercial Vehicle Body Building Prep to join our workforce at Montracon busy repair centre. We are seeking hardworking hands-on practical people who are able to adapt their skills and work with a variety of materials including wood, fibreglass, steel, Aluminium and stainless.
The role of the Welder / Commercial Vehicle Body Builder will include:
· Stripping HGV Trailers, replacing parts and Welding Damaged sections.
· Fitting of new or replacement parts and Body panels and preparing trailers for paint
· Fabrication of parts, using drawings
· Undertaking bodywork, drilling, grinding and welding
· Bespoke modifications to vehicles
· Basic Electrical fault finding is desirable but not essential.
As the Welder /Commercial Vehicle Body Builder you will be:
· You will be flexible, reliable, and punctual
· You must be willing to work as part of a team but also be able to use your own initiative
· Hands-on and have had some training as a welder in MIG, TIG, Ali or stick or be working towards a course in these areas.
· Have some understanding of mechanical drawings
· Have experience of both new build and repair work
· Be able to work independently to set deadlines
· Happy to undertake lots of overtime
· Have worked in a similar environment previously
· Have a hobby that involves welding, electrics or vehicle prep

Hourly Rate - competitive, depending on experience
Working Hours
· 40 hours per week Monday to Thursday 06:30 – 16:00 (9 hours) Friday 6:30 – 10:39 (4 hours)
