Perform the daily operations of plants to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line. Includes Service Shops.
Partner with the best
As a Welder, you will be responsible for:
- Setting up the components for the welding process as per specifications.
- Determining the correct equipment to use and method based on the requirements.
- Reading drawings and blueprints and taking detailed measurements to plan the project layout.
- Cutting and joining material.
- Performing hand welding on occasion.
- Specialisation in specific areas of welding.
- Using mechanised systems and techniques such as metal inert gas welding.
- Welding components in vertical, flat, and overhead positions.
- Analysing engineering drawings.
- Ensuring that you always follow safety procedures.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you need:
- Preferred previous experience with automatic cladding rigs but not necessary
- Excellent coordination and mechanical skills
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety
- Solid written and verbal communication skill
- Basic computer skills
- Proven experience as Welder
- Working knowledge of safety protocols
- Apprenticeship or vocational training preferred
