Join our Baker Hughes Team!
Perform the daily operations of plants to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line. Includes Service Shops.

As a Welder, you will be responsible for:

Setting up the components for the welding process as per specifications.
Determining the correct equipment to use and method based on the requirements.
Reading drawings and blueprints and taking detailed measurements to plan the project layout.
Cutting and joining material.
Performing hand welding on occasion.
Specialisation in specific areas of welding.
Using mechanised systems and techniques such as metal inert gas welding.
Welding components in vertical, flat, and overhead positions.
Analysing engineering drawings.
Ensuring that you always follow safety procedures.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you need:

Preferred previous experience with automatic cladding rigs but not necessary
Excellent coordination and mechanical skills
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety
Solid written and verbal communication skill
Basic computer skills
Proven experience as Welder
Working knowledge of safety protocols
Apprenticeship or vocational training preferred
